The Versatility of Exercise Balls
Saturday, 13 December 2008
By Ralph Nindly

During the last few years, there has been a major increase of the usage of exercise balls among those who are serious about working out. The growth in popularity is due to the different methods that one can use in order to gain great, healthy benefits to achieve fitness. They are also very inexpensive and simply easy to use.

Before buying a ball, it is important that you completely make sure that the ball matches your height. I?m pretty sure you would never want to waste money on a piece of equipment that is too big or too small for you. In order to test and see if it correctly matches your height, just sit on the ball. If your hips are a bit higher than your knees or they are level, then you?ve found the perfect size.

If you are looking for an exercise ball that but aren?t too sure for trying it out for some reason, here are a few measurements: a ball that is 55cm is ideal for those who are between 4?11? and 5?4?; a 65 cm

Web Based EMR
Friday, 28 November 2008
By Abhilash Sonwane

"It is not hard to get caught up in the headlines today with so much talk and ongoing discussions regarding hard economic times. However with this in mind, life still goes on. A physician practice must forge forward as well. Maybe the thought of EMR is not such a bad idea after all. Many practices like other small businesses are faced with challenging times ahead. So the question begs: How can my practice survive, and what steps can I take to maximize efficiencies in my day today operation? EMR! This idea may scare some this idea may draw some to the light. Just consider the end game. Ask a practice that has gone through a successful implementation and deployment of EMR. I am talking about after the learning curve has been mastered. Ask that practice from the Doctor to the Practice Administrator this question: Would you go back to the paper charting? If the adoption of EMR is in many experts eyes, along with Presidential Candidates and Federal Governing Bodies an inevitable next step then why the delay? Cost is what many will claim.

Drinking Bottled Water Isn't Always Better
Friday, 28 November 2008
By Aydan Corkern

If you think that your bottled water is safer than tap water, you might be surprised that in the long run it's not. Some of the bottled water that you might buy might in the long run be worse than tap water. There are many different kinds of bottled water on the market, and you can find them in most of the stores in any town or city.

You can buy them in 8 oz, 16 oz, and even now in 24 oz bottles, and they also come in many different kinds of favored water. These flavored waters usually taste pretty good. If you really want to come close to the taste of your tap water, you can go to the store and buy the packets of crystals that you can put in regular tap water, and the cost of these small packets will be better for you than some of your normal bottled water.

This can save you money because all you buy are the crystals that you put in your tap water and if you really like it cold, you

Companies Fight Food Culture
Wednesday, 26 November 2008
By Ben Needles

Today, we are fortunate to live in an amazing culture of abundance and wealth. Think about the possibilities around us: a Starbucks on every corner, yoga of every imaginable type, a free-flowing stream of information on the internet, and an endless variety of food.

While some of the abundances we experience can enhance our health, our fixation on food has led the United States into a crisis of obesity. Today, over 65% of America is overweight and approximately 25% is obese.

Think about some of the extremes were experiencing. Sugar was once an expensive and hard-to-obtain commodity. It was reserved for feast days and very special occasions. After the scarcity of the Depression and World War II years, it became a staple on Sundays. By the 1950s, dessert every night was common. Today, according to the FDA, the average American consumes 126 lbs. of sugar and approximately 36 lbs. of high fructose corn syrup, a cheaper form of sugar used in soft drinks and commercially baked goods.

Exotic and rich

Optimum Nutrition - Less Than 10% Body Fat
Tuesday, 25 November 2008
By Brue Baker

Many people often ask me, "what is optimum nutrition." Everyone has different bodies, mental attitudes, eating and exercising goals so optimum nutrition really varies from person to person.

However, if you are one of the dedicated people who is looking for near perfection in health, optimum nutrition would mean a perfect balance between the food you eat and the amount you exercise. This balance would have you burning the calories you eat from food throughout your day at a rate where none of them would be left over to turn into fat.

Don't Try To achieve Zero Body Fat

The body must have a minimum amount of body fat; at least one to three percent. This fat is needed in the case that you become ill and can't ingest food so don't become obsessed with optimum nutrition.

What is important is that you take a look at how you feel because if you feel good most of the time chances are you are close to achieving optimum nutrition for yourself already. However, if you feel bad a

Why Does Your Head Feel As If It's On Fire?
Friday, 21 November 2008
By Aydan Corkern

If you are like most people in the world, you might on occasion have a headache. Some of these headaches will be just a slight pain in some part of your head, but some of them might cause you to feel like your head or face is on fire. These kinds of headaches will or even might put you to bed. You could get a headache from just about anything like if you put too much pressure on your neck, too much strain on your eyes, grinding your teeth, or just too much tension.

If you grind or grit your teeth and you do this all the time, it cannot only add to you having a lot of headaches, but you will end up going to a dentist to have extensive dental work done to repair the damage that has been done. This procedure alone can cost you thousands in repairs. Your dentist can help with this problem, as he can make you something that you will put over your teeth at night to help stop you from doing any more damage to your

The top 5 keys to successful fitness plan
Thursday, 20 November 2008
By or

You probably are reading this article because you're searching for fitness program or plan for you.
If you were like me that you probably tried already a million fitness plans, and if not you are fortunate.

So let's begin and see that are the 5 key that are so important to a successful fitness program.

1) obligation- if you want to maintain on your workout you have to be obligate, if you're not be obligate you will probably leave the plan.
I know that it's sound hard to obligate to something, but if you take a look in my free report you will see how easy it is.

2) will- if you will not have the will to change and have a control of your life, you will never make it on the level that you want to.
Maybe it is sound obvious, but most of the time people will not use it as a key to a good fitness program.
The will is one of the most important key; with this key and one more I will describe

The Damage To Your Body By Cigarette Smoke
Wednesday, 19 November 2008
By Aydan Corkern

Do you smoke or are around a lot of people that do? Did you realize that the smoke from these cigarettes or even cigars will do a lot of damage to your skin? This smoke exposure can make your skin age faster and make you look older than your years - not to mention what it's doing to the inside of your body as well. The earlier our kids smoke, the worse the aging gets. They stop growing on the outside as well as on the inside.

Most young people will start to smoke just because they think it looks cool or hip or maybe because all of their friends are and they think it is so grown-up looking. But there is nothing cool or hip or even grown-up about it. It is one of the nastiest-looking habits to have with the other one being tobacco chewing or smokeless tobacco. To most young girls, this is the biggest turn-off.

They might think that this new boy is so dreamy, and then they will see him spit out this awful looking juice with some

Help Your Body Replenish Water And Reduce Your Wrinkles
Monday, 10 November 2008
By Aydan Corkern

Do you ever wonder why some people sweat more than others? It's not because of them drinking more water. It's just that they might have overacting sweat glands. In the whole stream of things, we need to do whatever it takes to try to keep the much-needed water in our systems and bodies to help them work properly.

We have many lotions or oils on the market today that will help with that very thing. However it is mostly women that will even worry about this because in the long run, your body will start to develop wrinkles. Native people like your Indians or Eskimos, as you have probably noticed, have the most beautiful skin, and it keeps you from being able to guess their age. This is because of all the fish oils that they might eat on a daily basis and all the different oils that they use on their skin.

We can get these same oils from taking some pills that you can find in all departments stores. Omega 3 oils, for instance, will have the right amount of antioxidants

Lack Of Sleep Can Cause A Fire Of Problems
Monday, 10 November 2008
By Aydan Corkern

Do you realize that a person's body really needs to have at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night or you may start having some really big health problems? You could start having problems like these. Lack of sleep can affect your cardiovascular, endocrine, immune and your nervous systems. There are a lot of people that have worse cases, such as chronic sleeping disorder or insomnia or even sleep apnea.

It is even said that getting fewer than the 7 to 8 hours needed a night may lead you to eat more, and that will lead one to becoming obese. It will trigger the hormones that tend to make us want to eat more. This hormone is called Leptin, and it will suppress your appetite, which in turn will give another hormone called ghrelin a boost. This will make you want to eat more. You will also eat more of the foods that aren't good for you like all the fatty fast food.

With people that get less than 5 hours a night, they are more likely to get diabetes by

Fashion Sense In the New Economy: Pay Attention to Your Spending
Thursday, 06 November 2008
By Gerri D Smith

The way you dress, your image and appearance, and the way you present yourself both in the workplace, and for social events is the best power you will ever possess. The power to find ways to cut spending and dress well on a meager budget is at an all-time high. The power and will for women to create an elegant and distinctive wardrobe and lifestyle in todays economy is easier said than done.

While the economy takes a turn for the worse, businesses are downsizing or being ruined. Even with big discounts it is difficult watching your hard earned money dwindle every time you go to the supermarket or the department store. Now you must look for reasonable solutions to maintain and update your wardrobe with less of the expense.

As fashion trends come and go, elegance and dressing well is timeless. Professionals, women business owners, entertainers, celebrities, and socialites, all share a common goal. And that is, they are women who simply, like me, love to dress up when they go out. It feels good to be admired.

The Amazing Health Benefits of Fucoidan in Limu Moui
Tuesday, 04 November 2008
By Deb Felter

Original Limu is a delicious drink containing 83 percent reconstituted Tongan limu, a type of brown seaweed rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients. A key component of Tongan limu is a compound called fucoidan, which has been the subject of over 760 research studies demonstrating an amazing array of health benefits.

Many of these studies investigated fucoidan's potent anti-cancer effects. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and prevent metastasis, or the spread of cancer from one part of the body to another. Fucoidan has even been found to induce apoptosis in cancer cells meaning that it causes the cells to die off. These studies have demonstrated fucoidan's beneficial effects in fights many different types of cancer, including lymphona, lung cancer, and cancers of the glands and connective tissues.

Fucoidan's benefits extend well beyond just cancer, though. It has been found to support and improve the functioning of the immune system in general; in fact, it is very similar in molecular construction to human breast milk, which is known to provide excellent immune support.

People who have

Setting Your Mind Up for Bodybuilding Success
Sunday, 02 November 2008
By Timothy Nugent

Having the most amazing body you can imagine is possible. Of course it takes work, dedication and focus (though maybe not as much as you think), but it also requires having the right mindset and vision that what you're doing is going to get you to your goals.

Think about the attitudes you currently have about bodybuilding and weight lifting. You probably think that it's really hard to get the body you want, that you'll have to spend hours at the gym every day and hundreds of dollars a month on supplements to get the hard body you desire.

You probably also think that you'll have to be on a really strict diet of nothing but eggs and steroids in order to get the look you want.

The truth is, getting a great body doesn't have to be a full-time job, or even that difficult. A big part of your success in a weight training program comes from the attitude that you bring to it.

I'm not going to say that thinking good thoughts will take you from

How to succeed in a diet?
Saturday, 01 November 2008
By or

All of us did diet or two in our life.
The goal of our diet doesn't matter, it's doesn't matter if it was to lose some weight, or if it was because you allergic to something, or just to clean your body.
People do diets daily, but it's this easy to maintain a diet until we will get to the goal we put to ourselves?

all of us can do it, each and every one of us, it's not that hard, but still you have to practice.

So how it's done?

If you want to succeed on any diet that you will chose, you can but you will have to change your mindset.
Most of the people that begin a diet are not obligated to it, they not obligated to there goal.
And how do you become obligated? Very plain, switching your mindset, connect good things to your diet.

What to I intend? I mean that you have to change the way you think about diet, on food, and connect some new beliefs.
There are two strong's fillings

Do You Make These Mistakes About Health And Sickness - Learn About Valuable Resources Now
Thursday, 30 October 2008
By Nathan Knightley

Health should be the most important word in our life. Yes we take our health for granted, especially when we are young. We think we are invincible and whatever we do harmful to our health seems to have no consequences. Then one day , over the not so young body anymore, a strange feeling might come. An uneasy feeling, a cramp but the first signal is often forgotten. Hopefully, the second indication might be taken more seriously.

Our body is a wonderful machine but it is not a machine. When my car runs out of gas it stops right there, no pity. But our body is much too tolerant. It will take the abuses and keep running of fumes until the day it will not be able to go on without the proper maintenance which translates in proper nutriments, exercises, good water and air. These are the basics of course. But in many people habits, even the basics are missing.

Not knowing what is going on with your health is very scary. There are many times when something may go

Write It Down, Make it Happen--Health Is No Exception
Thursday, 30 October 2008
By Gabriela Rosa

Good health is a matter of priorities and choice--not mere chance. Of course to a certain extent, genetics and other factors over which we have less control come into the picture, however their impact in the face of our daily choices and 'consenting' exposures is miniscule indeed.

There's a lot of talk about goals and plans and making things happen. The problem is that often that is where it all left: In the talk. Without proper commitment to an objective i.e. a specific and measurable goal, we stay in 'indecision'--hoping for the best, and when sometimes we fluke it and 'The best' suddenly appears we don't even recognize it because we didn't know what it looked like to begin with.

1. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AND YOU WILL GENERALLY GET IT

Clarity leads to power.

Becoming clear about the things we want is very important but really there is nothing more important than becoming clear about what optimum health means to you and the value it bring to your and other people's lives. You see, it is only in

Ways to Lift Weights Safely
Tuesday, 28 October 2008
By Timothy Nugent

Weight lifting is one of the best things you can do for your body in terms of building strength and endurance, and even when you're trying to lose weight. But many people get discouraged easily when it comes to trying to keep up with a bodybuilding routine. A good reason for that is working too hard in the beginning or using improper form and causing injuries.

It's really important to learn the right way to do different exercises and to use the right form when you're performing different moves. Remember to move smoothly and to pause at the beginning and end of the movement rather than using the momentum of your body movement to move the weight.

Remember to breathe through the lifting as well. It's usually recommended that you exhale on the hard part and inhale on the easier part (when putting the weight back down). Focusing on breathing and sending the breath to the muscles that are doing the work really can make it feel like the work is a bit easier.

In order to avoid injury,

Migraine Headaches
Friday, 24 October 2008
By Eric Minden

Migraines are known for the length of time in which they are present. Many
times a migraine headache will last for hours on end and can even last for
days at a time. The amount of pain someone will experience will vary from
person to person. Also, the cause of the migraine will vary as many of us
are under more stress than someone else.

Possible causes of migraine headaches include:

-Stress
-Change in hormone balance
-Fatigue
-Weather changes
-Allergies
-Some medical conditions

Side effects of a migraine headache will also vary from one person to the
next. If the side effects of a migraine become worse or will not go away
you should contact a doctor as soon as possible. Side effects of migraines
can include:

-Sensitivity to noise and light
-Nausea
-Body aches and pains
-Fatigue

Sensitivity to noise and light are the most aggravating of the side effects.

Achieving balance and a healthy lifestyle!
Monday, 20 October 2008
By Jhoana Cooper

Ever since we are young, our parents teach us the meaning of life. We are taught how to behave and they impart their knowledge whereas achieving balance is concerned. Stand straight. Eat right. Sleep at least eight hours a night. These represent just few of the things we hear on a regular basis. As adults, we tend to forget some of the things our parents said when we were little. Fortunately, we have the World Wide Web to help us out. Obtaining a wellness lifestyle does not seem such a difficult task thanks to the wealth of information presented online.

People with experience approach many subjects regarding wellness lifestyle and health online. They prefer to use the Internet to communicate their message to whoever is there to listen. Thus, achieving balance is the direct result of using all this information the right way. With just one website, one is taught all about keeping a healthy lifestyle and a clear head at the same time. Exercising, nutrition and weight loss are presented in simple, comprehensive terms by those who want to impart their very own

Cellulean Works- Tips for a Healthy Colon
Monday, 20 October 2008
By Eric Minden

Having a healthy colon will help improve the chance of your body fighting
many diseases, both serious and common. The colon is the organ in which
the wastes from our bodies pass, so keeping it in tip top shape is a must.
This will help tp prevent illnesses such as irritable bowl syndrome (IBS),
fatigue, cancer, and constipation.

Keeping your body hydrated with plenty of fluids will help cut back on
constipation, which will block the removal of wastes from our bodies.
Drinking plenty of water each day will keep constipation away. Drinking
fruit juice will not only help keep your colon clean, it will also help
to lower your cholesterol back to a healthy level.

If you are not eating enough fiber your colon may not be functioning as
well at it should. Therefore, it may be a good idea to change what you
eat. Eating more foods that are high in fiber, such as broccoli and other
green leafy vegetables, and many fruits are the best way to get the fiber
you need

Overcome Your Craveings
Monday, 20 October 2008
By Eric Minden

At some point everyone has cravings. Some people have cravings for some things
others would not ever try, like pickles and ice cream. I know it sounds horrible
but people really do crave that. So what can we do curb these cravings for
chocolate, salt, and any other cravings we may have? Simple, follow these
tips.

If you eat several small meals throughout the day instead of three or four
large meals, you will have fewer cravings and you will still be taking in
the right amount of calories per day.

Drinking plenty of water and drinking more water than soda will help you get
that feeling that you are not hungry. You should keep a bottle of water in
your desk at work or in your bag, this way if you do have a craving you will
be able to drink your water and the craving will go away on its own. Also,
water will keep you hydrated and help you feel better about what you are
putting into your body, since water has no calories and is healthy.
