The holidays are the time for over eating and drinking. So what can we do to prepare? Have the following remedies on hand and then pass the turkey, potatoes, pie, and wine.
The best way to use these homeopathic remedies is to take one dose every 3-4 hours over the period of 1-2 days. When improved, stop.
1) When over eating has caused nausea that you wish would just produce vomiting to get it over with, then your remedy is Nux vomica 30.
2) Nux vominca is also a capitol choice for the proverbial hangover. It will end nausea and vomiting in relatively short order.
3) When relentless vomiting is the main symptom, try Ipecac 30.
4) When there is simple indigestion and over acidity, then Nat phos 6x can be taken every hour. Use in place of antacids.
5) For true food poisoning such that causes chills, stomach pains and anxiety then Arsenicum album 30 should be taken. This is best saved for when your turkey is tainted.

Stress is starting to move its way up the list of everyday killers that we never see coming. In today's crazy work world people are working hours and hours on end. You can ask yourself what that means to you and your life but I know to most of us it means less and less time to relax and way more time spent at the office.
When the body is under stress bad things happen. Arteries constrict and blood pressure sky rockets. You need to understand that while this does not cause permanent damage, if left unchecked the body can wreak havoc. You see, when this happens for several minutes or even a day it may not be that big of a deal.
But when these conditions persist for years or even just without a break, the body will start to seriously break down. When it comes to your career I'm sure like most of us you want to try to do as well as possible and hopefully get promoted to a better and higher position. What you don't know is that |

Your low startup home business may not have as much resources as your bigger competitors, but that doesn't mean you can't earn as much profit as they do. Use the creative marketing strategies below to make your business generate gigantic returns.
Take advantage of the holidays
Holidays give people a valid reason to spend more than usual and it's a reason that most grasp eagerly with both hands. You need to take advantage of this by offering special products, services, or promos.
Christmas, for instance, is the season of giving and as such, if your home business can offer products that make perfect Christmas gifts, your business is sure to enjoy fantastic sales during the holidays.
Valentine's Day, on the other hand, is a time for romance so you need to focus on pleasing customers not as individuals but as couples. Your strategies will be even more effective if your low startup home business can offer products with distinctive offers for boyfriends and girlfriends, engaged couples, and married couples. Consider as well those who are still in the dating stage as well as those who are planning to get back |

Yesterday, the Grecos thirteen year old son, Anthony, got sick. They had their parents wedding anniversary celebration at their house and he couldnt join in. He was dreadfully weak, had a whistley wheeze and every breath he took was painful. His eyes were drawn and pale and he was also nauseous. This was one of those illnesses that could easily have turned into bronchitis or worse. His mom had suffered frequent bouts of asthmatic bronchitis as a child and his dad, too, had such bouts as a youngster.
But, there is something different in Anthonys life than in most other children in the U.S. He has homeopathy as his method of healthcare. In fact, as a result of it, he has never had an aspirin, Tylenol or antibiotic in his thirteen years of life. He is a drug free kid. Had his parents adhered to the dictates of conventional medicine, Anthony wouldve been dragged to the doctors office for an antibiotic, analgesic, inhaler and perhaps a steroid just as the party was gathering for the celebration |

As a homeopathic consultant for many years, I find the inspiration of homeopaths before me to be of encouragement and worthy of emulation. Two great women stand as a beacon of light in our world of interest-group medicine that is so prevalent in todays world.
Dr. Dorothy Shepherd, my posthumous mentor, was an English medical doctor practicing in hospital clinics and emergency rooms after WW1. She used conventional methods learned in medical school, hospitals and clinics. Then, as luck would have it, she learned of homeopathy via veterinarians and homeopathic physicians abounding in England at the time. After putting her full attention to the study of this vast body of medical literature, she slowly began incorporating it into her daily practice in the emergency room and clinic where she worked.
As WW11 rolled around and trauma became a customary fair, she wholly depended on her new medicine entirely. Since Dr. Shepherd advanced to using homeopathy full time, she never reverted to the ways of old again. Having a full staff at her call, she taught and instructed them |

Homeopathy has a reputation throughout the world for addressing the most vicious and debilitating disease. Yet, it is often criticized by adherents to modern medicine for another reason. They say since homeopathy is made form extraordinary dilutions, that it cant have value. What is difficult for them to wrap their heads around is that there is blueprint in everything on this earth. Its inability to be seen doesnt eliminate its existence. Indeed, electricity cannot be seen and was not even measurable until relatively recently. Yet, it undeniably exits. Certainly, the criticism flung towards homeopathy regarding its tiny proportions is precisely the reason for its powerful ability.
Take Hypericum perf, for example. This remedy, in its undiluted, material form, is St. Jonns Wort. It is commonly known as an herb that is capable of calming nerves and reducing nerve pain, such as after dental drilling and injuries of nerve rich areas. It can be a powerful analgesic when given after a crushing blow to the fingers, toes or tail bone. However, when taken |

Conjunctivitis. Pinkeye. Eye infection. What ever you call it, it means the same thing: inflammation of the conjunctiva. It often troubles children, but adults can also be afflicted and it is very contagious. Yet, conjunctivitis is rarely serious. If subterraneous layers of the eye are affected, there is concern for deeper pathology, yet this is an uncommon occurrence. If viral in nature, no antibiotic will affect it and it will secrete clear and watery tears, while discharges that are colored thick, yellow or greenish, are bacterial. Even without treatment, most of these infections resolve within 10 days or so.
A worthwhile way to treat this illness is with the herb eyebright or Euphrasia. If purchased in alcohol as a tincture, it needs to be diluted 1:25. That is, one drop of tincture to 24 drops of warm water. This mixture is then dropped by an eye dropper directly into the eye. If this is not possible, a clean cloth dipped in the solution can be gently placed and squeezed into it.

So this guy said: If you really want your blood pressure to go down to normal, you ought to go to a homeopath. Everyone at the party listened. Probably because many of them were on hypertension medication and wished they could get off. They were also interested because everyone knows homeopathy is an alternative and that means no side effects, no costly pharmaceutical bills and the potential for total relief. But I wonder if that guy and the others know that homeopathy is a medical method that has a world wide reputation for reducing both the systole and diastole of high blood pressure naturally? And that it doesnt require ceasing the present conventional drug? The person can take them simultaneously since homeopathy doesnt interfere with conventional meds. However, as this little party recognizes, high blood pressure medications frequently fail to show a benefit. This is a perfect opportunity for homeopathic remedies to make good. Once the remedy begins to act, it only makes sense to eliminate the drugs and continue on |

There are many hundreds of homeopathic remedies on the market today. Some of them are new to the scene, most have been around since the last century. Indeed, homeopathy has no gimmicks, no capricious ways. It is a solid rock of established medical thought. The compendium of its voluminous material medical is a result of the worlds great medical minds. But how can we ever hope to learn the myriad of remedies available? How can we expect to comprehend the intricacies and key notes of each of the remedies? The most valuable way to study homeopathy is to roll up your sleeves and dig in. I realize this sounds trite, however there are little techniques that Ive employed over the last 2 decades to polish my craft to a luster. Im happy to share them with you.
1) Break down your study into compartments. That is, dont look at the whole body of homeopathic literature (its voluminous), but rather the areas of most interest to you. Is it first aid? Pregnancy? |

Yes. Homeopathy has no side effects. One of the great advantages in using homeopathy is that it offers gentle medicine that not only doesnt have side effects, but can even be used to eliminate the side effects a less superior medicine, such as drugs, creates.
Often, people new to homeopathy confuse side effects with aggravations. Allow me to clarify. An aggravation is an exacerbation of symptoms presenting shortly after taking a homeopathic remedy. An exacerbation of symptoms rarely occurs when a patient is in a highpitched state. That is, when the migraines are occurring, when the menses is flooding, when the arthritis is enflamed. And even less frequently occurs in the hands of an experienced homeopath. However, if indeed an aggravation ensues, it often occurs within the first few days of the first dose. It is the sign that the correct remedy has been chosen, but is dreaded by some patients. This is unfounded, since it is often fleeting. Most importantly, an experienced homeopath can keep an aggravation from occurring.

Homeopathy can be of good aid when burns are at hand. The best way is to have a homeopathy kit on hand so that instant assist can be achieved. External sprays, gels or drips, as well as internal methods, will be useful and will all work in tandem. Take the oral remedy every 2-4 hours and stop whenever there is improvement. External application should be reapplied as needed to keep the area moist and protected.
On a nutritional note, the daily intake of cod liver oil that supports the skin with vitamins A, D and E is very helpful. Instead of buying synthetic forms of these vitamins, it is more valuable and economical to take this time tested supplement. Begin taking cod liver oil internally after any burn and continue as a daily fare.
For first degree burns, including sunburn, Calendula salve or lotion will be useful in reducing pain and swelling. For this kind of burn, Urtica urens 30, taken internally, will aid in the pain and aid in the overall countenance of the sufferer. |

The flu can be a trying time for someone new to homeopathy. It is worth the extra effort to learn the top several remedies. Once committed to memory, they will serve you well. There are several that are considered the most important. Below are only four, but worthy of our study.
Eupatorium works when the weather is warm and mild. The common botanical name for this remedy is boneset which gives an indication of its area of action. The symptom that is most telling is the strong pain that is suffered in the bones. The sufferer can find no comfortable position, as there is much agony as though the bed is too hard. Eupatorium is sometimes confused with Bryonia. The differential is that Bryonia remains still and quiet while Eupatorium thrashes in pain.
Bryonia is a common remedy for the flu. Look for indications such as desire for long , cold drinks that are interesting only on occasion. The person is weak, lethargic, sleepy and heavy. There is much perspiration and the person |

Surgery. We love it; we hate it. It can be life threatening and it can be life saving. In the world of homeopathy, its a measure that we try to avoid as oft as possible since homeopathy often has the ability to eliminate the need for it. However, there are times in which it is inevitable and so homeopathy is still there in the ready.
The surgical protocol that will be discussed is both pre and post operative and is accepted world wide by homeopathic physicians. It is also the protocol used in homeopathic hospitals in the Netherlands, India, England and South America and was a mainstay of American hospitals until relatively recently.
Homeopathy is a two hundred year old medical method. In the US, it was considered a mainstay of 40% of the doctors and hospitals until the 1940s. Its demise came as a result of political in-fighting between medical factions, but today it is making a comeback in the US while it continues to thrive in Europe and India. It has the reputation for dealing |

Now before you say anything, I do not call health supplements alternative as this implies instead of. It should be called COMPLEMENTARY as this means to work with conventional medicine.
There is a new outlook in health care today, with focus on Health prevention and wellness. The wellness concept targets the support of bodily systems and the enhancement of natural defences to prevent illness rather than masking its effects. Rising costs and problems with medical treatments have made people educate themselves on health issues. The growing awareness of wellness issues has empowered the average person to take control of his or her health, taking an active role.
With the start of this century, scientific and medical discoveries were made that revolutionized health care. These medical advances made it possible to treat many of the diseases that once threatened our quality of life. The use of antibiotics, analgesics, inoculations and other modern medicines produced amazing results.
However, while medicines helped millions of people, side effects have made many people look at complementary health and wellness. People have begun to educate themselves on health |

Lets learn how to breathe not only in abs workouts but all exercises. Breathing is an abs workout. You need your abs to help.
Place your hands around your ribs at the side or if you can your thumbs on either side of your spine at chest height with fingers spreading around to the front.
If you have a theraband wrap it flat around the bottom of your shoulder blades and hold it together with one hand in front.
Inhale through the nose slowly and feel the ribs expand sideways away from the spine. Try not to lift into the front of your chest or raise your shoulders.
All you want is the ribs expanding across the back and out sideways to get maximum air intake. This might be quite small at first if your rib muscles are not used to this. Does not matter. Keep at it. They will get stronger.
Raising your shoulders cuts off your windpipe. So keep them down. Try to pull them down from under your armpits.
Do not use |

A lot of people complain of not feeling well most of the time. Perhaps its not a full on sickness, but more a general feeling of low energy. This may be due to the toxins accumulating in our bodies from years of consuming pollutants and toxins. Here are five small things you can do about it to make a possibly big impact on your feeling of wellbeing.
First, you may want to start a Master Cleanse to detoxify your body. Master Cleanse is a ten day program of primarily drinking the Master Cleanse drink and allowing your body to flush the toxins out. Some of the causes of toxic build up are from years of breathing polluted air, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes and cigars, eating food coated with pesticides, and drinking unpurified water. The detoxification of Master Cleanse may give you a big push towards feeling better.
Secondly, after you have completed Master Cleanse, slowly reincorporate foods as instructed by the Master Cleanse directions. Try to choose strictly organic food to put in your body |

These days, herbs are an important part of most people's cooking plans. If you stop by your local store, you'll see shelves of dried herbs and fresh herbs in the produce section. These are great for use when you don't have anything else, but dry herbs may be lacking in flavor, and fresh herbs can be extremely expensive. What's the solution for the cook who prefers something fresh and healthy? Grow your own! You'll always have fresh seasonings on hand, and these plants are incredibly easy to produce.
The Easiest Herbs To Grow
Sweet basil, chives and other onion relatives, sage, rosemary, and other common herbs are extremely easy to go and can stand fairly difficult conditions. Others, such as cilantro, fennel, and dill, have more complicated requirements for temperature, humidity, and potting space. Mint is another incredibly easy herb that's best grown in a pot or in its own closed off mini-garden. In some areas, it turns into a weed and takes over the garden!

You can't turn on the news without hearing about lay-offs, foreclosures and the plummeting stock market. You may even be experiencing these financial calamities first hand and know the stress and fear that being in this position can bring.
It is especially during these times that I recommend sticking with your exercise program. Now more than ever you need to discipline yourself to keep training. Stress, as you know, can bring with it a number of serious health problems, both physically and mentally. It's the one thing you must address immediately, or the results could be devastating.
Sticking to your training schedule has many benefits. You need to look and feel good to preserve your confidence and self-esteem. You need a physical outlet for your stress or you risk turning elsewhere for relief. For example, a response to the stress of today's economy may be to use alcohol or food for comfort. While in the short term these substances may soothe our jangled nerves, they have negative long-term repercussions.
Excessive alcohol consumption may lead to a destructive addiction |

As you probably already know, there are many ways to lose weight if you have plenty of money to spend on the endeavor. For instance, expensive diet pills, weight loss programs, weight loss surgery and gym memberships all cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. During the current U.S. recession, we still want to lose weight, but most of us do not have the extra cash to devote to it. So, what are some cheap ways to lose weight?
The first one is easy and completely free. All you have to do is take a walk every day for at least 30 minutes. Adding a daily walk is an uncomplicated and extremely cost effective change you can make in your life. Just taking a thirty or more minute walk every day will make you lose weight, plain and simple. Even if you still eat the same way, but you add in that basic daily exercise, you will lose weight, look better, feel better, and be experiencing life more. Is that not what all |

The three most important physical aspects of wellness are exercising, diet health, and maintaining your desired weight. Of those three aspects diet health is the most important because it has the greatest direct impact on your level of well-being.
First, it's important to realize that multiple lifestyle transformations may be necessary for you to achieve optimal diet health. "If you want things to change in your life you will need to change the things in your life."
These might include.
* Realization of the mind/body connection
* Educating yourself about the benefits of organic food
* Shopping at the health food store instead of the grocery store
* Weight maintenance
* Stress/anxiety reduction
Each of these aspects work cooperatively and have an accumulative effect. One change may make a small difference, but many little changes add up to significant results.
Once you have achieved your goals for diet health it will not seem like much effort to maintain your new lifestyle.
Six years ago I was about thirty-five pounds over weight, depressed, and |

What do abs workouts consist of in Pilates? How do they differ from aerobic or other muscle pumping exercises used to create the abs you are looking for?
How different will these exercises make your abs look?
The majority of Pilates exercises include the use of abs, one ab or the other ab or more but particularly the deep abdominal.
Yes, there are specific exercises for abs but all abdominal work uses the core abdominal but get this, it never works alone. It works with the other core muscles to create surprise, a strong core to back up those outer abdominals. This is the famous Pilates core.
The deep abdominal is the great flattener, the one below the other abdominals.
So lets find this muscle on your body. The road to this is neutral pelvis. The pelvis is made up of the bones above the legs and connected to the spine. Neutral pelvic position is most optimum for the body for exercising and moving. It is a position of equilibrium and stability for the muscles and whole body.

A short time ago, I received a promotional booklet in the mail from a very well-known and "credible" company (they have an extensive scientific advisory board) that publishes a monthly magazine on health and prevention, as well as many books on various health topics.
It was shocking to read through it and count the many outrageous promises and claims made about their diet and health program. Here are some quotes:
"DROP 30 lbs. Fast!"
"INCHES OFF YOUR BELLY in 10 minutes a day!"
"Shrink Your Waist with a Vitamin!"
"Do You Have a Few Minutes to Lose 25 Pounds?"
"6 Hours of Exercise in 6 Minutes"
