There was a time when patients had to just bear up if the doctors bungled up with their treatment. Of course, they could seek some compensation or ask for some legal advice. Nevertheless, the doctors, who carried out deliberate mistakes in treatment of patients, would continue their practice in spite of dissatisfied patients in their records.

This is because if one patient really had a bad experience with a particular doctor, the patient would not really be in a position to inform future patients about it. And the doctor would continue providing the services without really making any improvements upon his performance.

However, this has now changed. With the internet now accessible to just anybody, the patients can now come out with doctor reviews. If they have been particularly dissatisfied with a certain doctor, they can write doctor reviews. The doctor reviews will be available for just anybody with the internet access to read them. There are also doctor ratings, where the patients can rate the doctors based upon the service they have received. The doctor ratings help other patients make decisions about going to visit the doctor or not.

Suppose there has been a cosmetic surgery and one woman really finds that the surgeon, who was involved in treating her face, has instead ended up doing something else. It may sometimes be worse than what it used to look earlier. The woman of course can consult a malpractice lawyer and file a complaint to the medical council.

But, if the woman also understands that there can be other women who may also suffer the same fate from the same doctor, she would just log on to the internet and look for websites that offer doctor reviews and doctor ratings. There are dozens of such websites that offer these services.

The woman who has suffered loss of her face as well as her money could vent her grievance through the website. Although this action would neither help the woman get her face back nor she may really claim any money, but there is still an opportunity to warn others from seeking the services of this surgeon. The woman can write her whole experience of seeking cosmetic surgery from this particular doctor.

There should be the mentioning of all the marketing information and the promises the surgeon or the company had made. Then the result of taking the services has to be explained. The woman could also provide evidence on what really she suffered from after falling to the promises.

Internet is a powerful tool and more and more people are seeking information about products and services before they buy them. Even while seeking health services, they also review the comments and experiences of the hospitals and doctors. Even with cosmetic surgery, since it is a sensitive service, the service seekers would first verify if the particular hospital or doctor is genuine or not and then find out what other customers, who have used the services, have felt after using their services.

If you are looking for honest doctor reviews or doctor ratings visit Doctortree to make sure you get the best health service.
